The English Learner Mentoring program is a series of professional development modules developed to provide educators with information, strategies, and tools to help improve the quality of instruction for English Learners.

The modules are designed to supplement peer coaching and administrator support in developing successful instructional programs for English Learners, as well as in meeting California state and federal compliance guidelines.

No website about instruction is ever complete enough to reflect the many theories and resources that affect a successful learning experience for English Learners. Please consider the information herein to be part of a beginning step in the process of assisting school personnel in meeting the needs of today’s English Learners.

The BorderLink Project hopes to promote the goals of responsibility and accountability for effectively meeting the instructional needs of English Learners by bringing together theories, research, and resources in promoting cross-cultural awareness, language development, and academic progress.
